PRACTICAL ADVICES TO IMPLEMENT THE CHIC & CRAFT COURSE

Having the Chic&Craft pilot experience already behind us, and having the advantage to be part of a unique, creative and peer learning empowered process, indeed left us not only memories but traces for taking further action in our everyday professional life.
It is not just about creativity, new possibilities or awareness about recycling. The unique, six-months lasting pilot experience improved our awareness about the fact of “second chance”. Learning environment that supports the idea of long-life learning goes hand in hand with the option to adapt the learning environment to each specific learning group.

PROMOTIONAL MULTIPLIER EVENT IN VALAKUPIAI REHABILITATION CENTRE (LITHUANIA)

Valakupiu Rehabilitation Centre had the promotional multiplier event of Chic&Craft project on 28th of June. Chic&Craft project is an on-line training platform for people with disabilities that targets to use second hand or used materials to create handcraft items such as clothes, accessories and jewelries.
During this project – in which we have witnessed even a simple plastic bag could turn into something beautiful and meaningful – our mentors and teachers worked hard to help participants to create precious items from used and waste materials. And, during the multiplier event, we have seen that the results were the proof of the hard work being worth it.

FINAL EVENT IN GREECE!

On June 15th, at the Day Center of IASIS NGO, was organized the successful presentation of the European Erasmus+ project, “Chic and Craft: recycled & re-used clothing design through peer learning”. This project provides training tools tailored to the needs of the beneficiaries to improve their knowledge and skills in fashion design using recycled materials.
